On the HP aspect - Life isn’t black and white! I would never judge you for enjoying something that has been a huge part of your life for so long. You can hold both things at the same time - the joy and comfort of HP and the disappointment and sadness around JK’s actions. It’s ok to feel sad that your experience was tainted, and also still know that everyone was right to point it out and inform you of it. We are all just doing our best and navigating all sorts of difficulties, none of us ever know how to perfectly navigate everything all the time! Sorry you’ve been having such a hard time, I hope things settle down soon, and I hope you know that you’re doing brilliantly handling everything coming at you at the moment x

Mel, I don’t agree with JK Rowling but Harry Potter was my world growing up and a complete escape too so I completely get it. You can enjoy and love Harry Potter without agreeing with her. Plus she has enough money to fund whatever stupid campaign she wants to anyway unfortunately so don’t deep the money bit. The Harry Potter/JK Rowling thing is a really hard thing to tackle. I loved the HP books, I read them so many times as a teen. And then she came out as evil as she is and I was absolutely torn which I’m sure you are too. She’s destroyed HP for me, and for many others. But I accept that people still enjoy the franchise and people are free to make their own choices about it without being made to feel guilty
