@downinnadesert: A Glendale man collapsed in court after prosecutors told a judge he could face up to 100 years in prison if convicted on all 10 felony counts against him. Joshua James Lozano, 42, was arrested Sept. 10 following a Glendale police investigation that began after multiple cyber tips flagged illegal digital material involving children. Investigators say search warrants tied an account, phone number and multiple IP addresses back to Lozano. During his initial court appearance, prosecutors said each count could potentially carry 10 years in prison and be served consecutively. Shortly after the possible 100-year sentence was discussed, Lozano became physically incapacitated at the podium, forcing the hearing to pause while jail medical staff responded. Prosecutors requested a $150,000 bond, citing the seriousness of the allegations and claiming Lozano had also been communicating with underage individuals online. His attorney requested a lower bond and pointed to his local ties. The judge ultimately set bond at $150,000 secured. If released, Lozano would be prohibited from contacting children, using a smartphone or accessing the internet outside of his legal case, and would be required to wear an electronic monitor.
