Read caption For : Bouyon Recipe 🇭🇹🇭🇹 - - Ingredients: - about 2 1/2 lb of the marinated Meats ( Check last video ) - Carrots, purple yam, potatoes, Yam, Malanga, plantain ( shop from your nearest farmers market to get these ) - Water - Thyme , scotch bonnet pepper with cloves pierced in them - @Chefchosen stores - For the dumplings ( Bòy) ( salt water & flour ) Instructions: -Melt 3 tbsp of unsalted butter to large pot - Add the marinated meats, add about 1 cup of water along with thyme , scotch bonnet pepper or habanero - Cover and cook over medium heat , check on it every 25-30 minutes, add little water if needed , and stir occasionally. If the heat seems to high lower it . - While the meat tenderizes, prepare your “ VIV” that includes the potatoes, Yam, purpose yam, malanga , plantain, and carrots. - After about two hours & half the meat should be tender. - Remove the meat and all its juices to a bowl - Add the chopped spinach , then add all the VIV - Add water until it fully submerged them - Season with some salt, and the aromatics again , cover and let it come to boil - Meanwhile prepare your dumplings ( boy in creole ) - when it comes to boil , add the dumplings - once the VIV start to get tender ( remember to remove the purple yam they can get smooshed) - Add the meat back in, slowly stir , season with @verynoiceeseasoning to taste. - allow to simmer on medium heat for another 15-25 minutes , to thicken a bit and reduce.
