NUFC fan and totally agree, Barnes lack of pace also meant Justin didnt need to worry about being as high up. Same with Murphy who sits far to deep to offer and outball like Elanga would of over the top. Our midfield was outnumbered due to 2 upfront chasing shadows and put a lot of pressure on a very inexperienced midfield. We needed that Wissa option in midfield and ideally 3 back with full backs higher to tracks their full backs for our wingers. But we lack depth and quality to even do that option. 8% Success rate of crosses, and lack of hold up player up top meant it came back quickly and looked like we had 10 men vs 11 at times. Right now 2 upfront in 10 and ST will not work in games where we lack any threat on a counter like last night. We need to win the midfield battle and hope this pressure can lead to us getting something from our next game vs Hull at home who play a 5 back formation thus nullifying any counter opportunities.
