I feel like the remembrance exhibit is a little too hidden, truly as someone who grew up in Puyallup I didn’t know about the history till late jr high or high school. I mean that could have been my fault but I really had no idea

something that doesn't get mentioned enough is the amount of California farm land that changed from Asian Americans owned to white Americans owned during this time. Banks would auction the land for Penny's on the dollar to white farms who had discovered how profitable farming in California was.

A family member of mine, actually told me this at 10 years old and I never looked at the fair the same. His friend when he was little was Japanese and got sent to this concentration camp and he never saw his friend again :(

I never knew this!!! we should all know this!! I knew about what happened to the Japanese. as a tribal person we understand their pain we had a Japanese community in bainbridge island that lost huge farms and homes so wrong!

Highly recommend the remembrance exhibit! It's hidden in a far corner of a building, but last year was its first year and everyone needs to see it! There also another little museum across from it with other fair history!
