On the morning of January 25, 2019, 29-year-old Elizabeth “Liz” Barraza was outside her Tomball, Texas home preparing for a garage sale. Her husband, Sergio, helped her set up before leaving for work around 6:48 a.m. Approximately four minutes later, a dark-colored Nissan Frontier pulled up. A person got out and walked directly toward Liz. Surveillance footage captured the encounter. The individual appeared to be wearing unusual clothing—possibly some type of robe, coat or disguise—and there has been continued speculation over whether the person was male or female. Liz briefly interacted with the stranger. Then the person pulled out a gun and shot her multiple times at close range. The attacker ran back to the truck and fled. But here’s one of the details that makes this case so disturbing: The suspected vehicle was later captured passing by the Barraza home again. Nothing appeared to have been stolen, and investigators have said they believe Liz was specifically targeted. Which raises an enormous question… How did her killer know she would be outside that morning? Liz had taken the day off work for the garage sale. She and Sergio were also preparing to leave for a trip to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. Years later, investigators have surveillance footage of the attack, footage of the suspected vehicle and an incredibly narrow timeline. Yet no one has been charged with Liz Barraza’s murder. Her killer is still out there. Who killed Liz Barraza—and what do you think is the most important clue in this case? 🕯️ #LizBarraza #TrueCrime #UnsolvedMystery #ColdCase #Crime
