@terrifying.tapes8: The 2,500-Year-Old Coffins of Saqqara Viewer Warning: This footage shows ancient human remains and archaeological discoveries. In October 2020, archaeologists announced an extraordinary discovery at Egypt's Saqqara necropolis: 59 sealed wooden coffins that had remained remarkably preserved for more than 2,500 years. During a public presentation, researchers opened one of the coffins and revealed a mummified individual wrapped in decorated burial cloth covered with ancient inscriptions. The coffins were discovered inside burial shafts reaching roughly 12 meters underground, near the 4,700-year-old Step Pyramid of Djoser. The discovery provided archaeologists with valuable evidence about burial practices and religious traditions in ancient Egypt, and researchers continued examining the coffins and their contents to learn more about the people buried there. ▲ Shared for educational and awareness purposes only.#explore #KurseongMountainRoad #Unexplained #MonsoonRiding #explorepages #secrets #crocodiles
