@artem_pankovich: BMW N47 2.0 Diesel - WHAT’S INSIDE the Intake After 90,000 km? • This 2015 BMW 5 Series F10 525D has just over 90,000 km and comes in with intermittent engine fault codes related to incorrect mixture formation and possible EGR operation. • But does that automatically mean the EGR valve is faulty? Not necessarily. The valve itself can be operating perfectly while the intake system around it becomes heavily restricted by soot, oil and carbon deposits. • This BMW is mainly used for city driving, which is not exactly ideal for a modern diesel engine. Over time, deposits can build up inside the intake manifold and ports, reducing the available airflow and changing the actual operation of the EGR system. • So instead of simply replacing the EGR valve because of a fault code, we are going to inspect the system properly. For sure they use a lot of biodiesel in composition where you fill your tank... if you delete flaps will be better but will go into egr and dpf and probably after 300k km you will need dpf&egr delete.
