Description : Welcome to another peaceful summer day in the countryside. 🌿☀️ Today, I’m taking two heavy woven floor rugs to the lake to wash them by hand — using a traditional method that has been passed down through generations. I wash them with my hands and feet, pressing and rinsing the heavy rugs against the stones in the clear lake water. 💦 One of these rugs is especially meaningful to me because it was completely handmade and woven by my mother. Many of you have been waiting to see this traditional way of washing rugs, so I’m very happy to finally share it with you. ❤️ I load the rugs onto my old bicycle and ride through the quiet village, passing green fields, goats, horses and other peaceful countryside scenes along the way. 🚲🌾 After the hard work, the hot summer day calls for a refreshing swim in the lake.
