As a Nottingham fan who was there on the night, and a fan who visited the arena in the late 90s and early 00s to watch Storm and attend playoff weekend back then, I had been so excited for the club to return home and put on a show. I spoke with lots of Storm fans the night before at Motorpoint to say I couldn’t wait to get back there. It was extremely disappointing on Sunday to be held in the venue with poor comms all around, but I was mostly just gutted for Storm. This statement is decent, and I hope you work through these teething issues to return to the good old days with a sold out arena and a whole slew of new fans. The move back to the big arena is good for UK hockey and I echo every sentiment made about the community spirit within the sport in this country.

The amount of panthers fans that felt sorry for us because storm were being blamed and not the AO. what made me upset was the lack of communication not just to us but with the staff to each other. Being stuck for over an hour in that small space wasn't good, if anything like that happens again we should be able to leave and come back.

Amateur season all round. Storm need to take more responsibility end of. If I contract with a rubbish builder and they build me a rubbish building I’ve got to take some responsibility for my part, judgement and not being more proactive. It should’ve been clear from around 3pm that the game was not a realistic possibility… bonkers how the issues were only spotted after the national anthem. A single guy scratching his head between blasts of a fire extinguisher for 3 hours never looked likes a viable solution.

There was a lot going on, people immediately knew the ice wasn’t ready that’s why you didn’t let people sit down, people felt unsafe waiting for a seat, then the timing of the game meant people may or may not have eaten, food options inside were small and expensive. We had a meal before but also then had to go for one after waiting which wasn’t planned and created another expense. I know things like this happen but it was so obvious something was wrong and people heard nothing …
