@_ck1music_: Most people know me as the man of many songs 😂 I love creating mashups, and honestly, a lot of the arrangements I create happen very spontaneously. But as mashups continue to become more common, I want to encourage every creative who is exploring them to remember something important. Mashups should make sense. They should be able to bring generations together. They should complement the main song that is already being sung. They should add to the message, not distract from it. A mashup is not just throwing songs together because the beat sounds good or because the keys happen to work. Mashups are languages. Different songs, different generations, different experiences, speaking one universal language. If I am singing about God keeping His promises, then every song I introduce should somehow help tell that story. There should be intention behind the transition, intention behind the lyric, intention behind the moment. That is what I love about music. I am not just trying to put songs together.
