@sameoldfuzzy: ❗️AWS unable to restore Bahrain, UAE cloud facilities damaged in war on Iran Amazon Web Services (AWS) is unable to restore access to its cloud-computing facility in Bahrain and one of three data-hosting zones in the United Arab Emirates after they were damaged during the US-Israeli war on Iran, according to a status update seen by Reuters on Tuesday. AWS, Amazon’s cloud-computing division, said the damage in Bahrain affected multiple availability zones, which consist of clusters of one or more data centers within the same geographic region. "The damage to our infrastructure spanned multiple Availability Zones and exceeded what our regional and multi-AZ services are designed to withstand," an AWS status update seen by Reuters said. AWS added that it was helping customers in Bahrain resume operations through other regions.
