This past year showed me lessons I somehow failed to learn throughout my entire life. People who said they'd be there, but lacked the capacity within themselves to hold their words. Employers I killed myself for, only to be turned out when protecting themselves mattered more. Friends I thought would stand beside me through anything—gone once I quit performing. Ego. Dead. Mind, body and spirit depleted. And what did I learn through all of it? Their inability to show up wasn't a measure of my worth. It represented something within them. But damn, did it show me something within me too. Something that was still there when everything else was stripped away. My gift. The part of myself I'd hidden too—as performing, achieving, proving, and trying to be whatever I thought the world needed me to be. Losing all of that opened me up. Heart full. Soft. Open. Mind quiet. Love flowing. True abundance showing up in every form of life. And most importantly, an awareness of what actually matters during this little stretch of time we get on the dirt beneath our feet. What this whole damn thing is really about. I genuinely hope you don't understand any of this. I hope you've never had to be broken open enough to understand it. But if you have—or you are right now—trust that there's a gift in it. Because you can keep the same loop running forever. Same fears. Same protection. Same outcomes. Or at some point you can ask yourself: Is this really what I want to guarantee for my life? Do what you will with that jargon. Me? I'm going to play. I'm going to love. I'm going to stay soft. I'm going to stay open. And I'm going to keep watching this world open up in ways I couldn't have imagined before everything fell apart. Nobody has to come with me. But I'm not missing it. There's too much life outside the loop. #Motivation #SelfImprovement #Mindset #GrowthMindset #PersonalGrowth
