@mattlocklopestattoos: 🌺 WORK IN PROGRESS 🌿 Getting really close to the finish on this garden sleeve. As this project has evolved, a big part of the challenge has been figuring out how to make the pre-existing black flow elements feel like they were always supposed to be there. Instead of fighting them, I’ve been transforming a lot of those shapes into an old wrought-iron garden fence, weaving it in and around the flowers to give the entire piece more structure, depth, and atmosphere. I love the idea that it doesn’t just feel like a collection of flowers anymore—it’s starting to feel like an actual garden you’re looking into through the ironwork.
