It’s so f%*king hard dude. Professionally I’ve never been more accomplished. Personally my health and finances have never been better. And yet I’ve never been less fulfilled and the grief I feel for the quality of life for those around me and the younger people who have to deal with this horse💩 existence is debilitating. I’m volunteering, I’m offering help where and when I can, I’m constantly checking on those who are clearly struggling and still checking on those who outwardly appear to be doing OK becuase who TF even knows what’s real and what isn’t. We’re months away from some apocalyptic reckoning with AI, the Politicians are so old and decrepit their still bitching about their facebook posts being “hidden” from their constituents and we’re about to see $10.00 diesel fuel for the first time which means inflation is about to explode…again. I don’t have kids. I’m in my late 40’s. I’m finding myself thinking more and more about what I would do if I lost my wife. I don’t think I want to be here any more if that happens. Been down the assisted suicide rabbit hole recently. My therapist also seems checked out and dealing with the same shit. We went someplace really dark recently and we both started laughing maniacally. I don’t think that’s traditionally how therapy works but I did feel better afterwards. IDK man, this $h7t is so hard. Appreciate you leaning into the absurdity and speaking your feelings.

I was on a meeting this morning and my favorite teammate took a screenshot of my face. I evidently couldn't hide how over it I was. I'm so overwhelmed and overstimulated. I literally just want to scream and crawl into a hole.
