I started aot last week and I can confidently say I HATED him with a passion. I even googled if he dies because I thought he was insufferable. I’m currently in season 3 episode 2, and I started liking him more over the course of the story however what changed his mind was his reaction to learning that titans were humans. I originally thought he was one of those edgy characters just for the sake of it but him being disturbed for having killed so many titans after learning the truth just breaks my heart.
