Kwararafa Cinema is the first cinema to be established in the Northern region of Nigeria and the Lebanese chose the heart of middle-belt to build this iconic place. The cinema is large enough to accommodate over 2,000 people at a time with good air conditioning. It’s just sad that the location of this cinema is a major hindrance to the source of revenue in the state. What fascinated me the most was the large display platform for the movies, the working condition of the projector, AC’s, speakers and everything, but because it’s not been in use for a very long time, dust and cobwebs have found a home there, besides the vandalism of wires by locals within the area. How about the state government does something about this structure? Improve on it and make it work again, that is after the issue of insecurity has been tackled! 📍Jos, Plateau State.
