@stephleighworthy: Things I watch for on FB Marketplace & thrift stores: *Friends on here ask me all the time where our chalkboard is from! It was a FB find & I see them on there frequently so keep a lookout!! Encyclopedias & research books! It’s RARE that I buy a book full price! Garage sales are GREAT for books but I always check the book area of a thrift store to o& while not necessarily thrift because they’re brand new, I buy a TON of books at @bookoutlet & if there’s something I really want but can’t find it there, I buy gently used to new at @thriftbooks!! Furniture for storage (& once upon a time, this table & these chairs for our school room) As a mom who spent 10 years doing school at our kitchen counter, I knew desks weren’t going to be the best use of space or work area for us and I’m SO GLAD I found this table. The table acts as my desk when I’m working, our school table when I’m teaching, & a project space when the boys are working on something together or alone when we’re not doing school! Curriculum - FB marketplace near me always has new and gently used curriculum for sale! I always check here first before ordering for the year or when we need to bump up! It can save us hundreds over time!! Baskets & caddies for books, supplies, manipulatives, & curriculum! I have huge baskets that sit on the ground filled with books, baskets hanging with small manipulatives, flashcards, & supplies, wooden and woven supply caddies to make it easy for the boys to draw, work, and color all throughout our home…ALL for only a couple bucks each!
