SPAGHETTI BITES 🍝 This is what happens when you live in a scratch kitchen and refuse to waste food. I had leftover spaghetti. I had some leftover homemade dough. And instead of making something completely new, I looked at what I already had and thought… Well, we can make something out of THAT. And apparently, spaghetti bites are a thing now. 😂 This is one of my favorite parts of cooking from scratch. You don’t always need a recipe. Sometimes you just need to look around your kitchen and figure out what needs to be used before you make something else. For these I used: 🍝 leftover cooked spaghetti 🍅 leftover spaghetti sauce 🧀 shredded mozzarella 🥩 whatever leftover meat you have, if you want it 🥖 leftover homemade dough I rolled out the dough and cut it into little pieces big enough to tuck everything inside. Add a little spaghetti, sauce, cheese and whatever else needs using up. Fold them over, pinch the edges, and bake until the dough is golden and the cheese is doing that whole bubbly, melty thing. I didn’t measure much because… well… leftovers. 😂 And that’s kind of the whole philosophy around here. Before I make more dough, what can I use the dough I already made for? Before I cook something new, what’s already in the refrigerator? Before I throw something away, can I turn it into something else? Scratch cooking isn’t always about making everything perfectly from scratch every single time. Sometimes it’s about using what you already have. Sometimes dinner starts with leftovers. Sometimes leftovers become lunch. And sometimes leftover spaghetti gets wrapped in homemade dough and becomes a snack nobody planned on making. Welcome to my kitchen. 😂
