SARINA’S FIRST ELEPHANT ENCOUNTER 🐘 What we loved most about Bangkok Elephant Park is that the elephants here are rescued elephants who are now given a safe and caring environment to live in. Instead of performing tricks or carrying tourists all day, these gentle giants spend their time doing what elephants naturally love to do: eating healthy food, walking and exercising, playing in the mud, splashing in pools, and socializing with other elephants. Visitors get to prepare food, feed them, walk alongside them, and watch them enjoy their daily routines. It felt like we were simply being welcomed into their world while they went about their day. The experience also includes fun cultural activities like making your own herbal oil, plus a delicious meal, making it a wonderful family-friendly day from start to finish. What made it even better for us? It was the closest elephant sanctuary we could find from Bangkok, only about an hour away, making it an easy and convenient day trip for families with young children. Best of all, every visit helps support the care of these rescued elephants and contributes to Bangkok Elephant Park’s mission of rescuing and providing a better life for even more elephants in the future.
