Remembering all the incredible stars we lost this year, as the 2026 Emmys honored some of television and film’s most beloved names during an emotional In Memoriam tribute. The ceremony remembered Catherine O’Hara, Eric Dane, Hayden Panettiere, Sam Neill, Tim Curry, Dolly Parton, Bob Mackie, Rob Reiner and many others whose work reached generations of audiences. Noah Kahan performed “Bridge Over Troubled Water” as their images appeared on screen, while Macaulay Culkin, Annie Murphy and Dan Levy gave Catherine O’Hara a particularly emotional tribute. Dolly Parton also received her own special remembrance earlier in the ceremony, while Jamie Lee Curtis closed the In Memoriam segment by honoring Rob Reiner and the enormous legacy he left behind.
