@slowswedish: These ages are approximate and it’s not written in stone. You could call a 5 year old girl “en liten tjej”. But I wouldn’t call anyone above 13-15 “flicka” or ”pojke”. Dam and herre are quite proper and formal. I don’t think anyone takes offense, but they can feel a bit out of place in relaxed conversations. Tant and gubbe can be sensitive for some.
