@_nicchill_: Would you hike the famous Lemon Squeeze at Mohonk Mountain House in New York?! 📍 Lemon Squeeze + The Labyrinth | New Paltz, New York This might be one of the most FUN hikes I’ve done in a while. Instead of just following a normal trail, you’re following painted arrows through a maze of massive boulders. Climbing ladders, crawling under rocks, scrambling over them, and squeezing sideways through some VERY tight spaces. The Labyrinth + Lemon Squeeze scramble itself is about 1.1 miles, but don’t let the short distance fool you. You’re using your hands just as much as your feet on this one! A few things to know before you go: 🪨 Expect ladders, boulders + very narrow crevices 🎟️ A hiking pass is required — currently $35/adult 🚗 Hiking-pass parking is at the Gatehouse, about 2.2 miles from the Mountain House, so factor that into your total mileage ⏰ Passes are released online up to 72 hours before your visit and can sell out 🐕 Dogs aren’t permitted on the property 📍 Mohonk Mountain House is in New Paltz, NY, about 90 miles north of NYC This honestly felt like being a kid on a giant natural playground. If you like hikes that involve a little more climbing, scrambling and figuring out how the heck you’re supposed to fit through a rock, SAVE this one for your New York bucket list!

This trail was fun but hikers who want to be immersed in nature should be aware that you weave in and out right next to Mohonk Mountain House paved flat walking trail. That said it was a fun 30 minute hike!

Okay I got the scoop. lol If you park at the gate house, it is thirty five dollars per person and it is a two mile hike to the path of the lemon squeeze. you can make reservations online, and it has to be three days before. for a day, pass with a meal monday through friday. It is a hundred forty five dollars per person plus tax. then, you can drive right up to the mountain house. And skip the two mile hike in. For a weekend hike day pass it is a hundred and thirteen dollars plus tax and the food is a barbecue set up outside. If you want a brunch on a weekend at the main dining hall it is $149 plus tax.
