my daughter went no contact and nothing i did to correct/apologize was good enough. so I've learned to grieve a relationship that apparently doesn't matter to her.

I tried until it destroyed me. The DIL and her mother took so much pleasure in the breakdown of my relationship with my son. I had to stop for my own sanity. There can only be one grandmother. 💔

My mothers oldest child doesn’t speak to her. Hes actually kinda mean to her. So now none of us talk to him. My mom did nothing wrong she doesn’t need to fight for that.

You think so but after repeated rejections being blocked to be able to reach them you will give up ..the pain becomes to unbearable…you have to accept that for reasons unknown to you this is how they want it

Ya you say that til you actually go throughout and fight for years, agreeing with things, allowing them to abuse you, humiliated you publicly. Then one day you wake up and say ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT! If you don’t want me in your life then fine, I’ll love you from afar but if you ever NEED me I’m a phone call away. But when you’re ready to be in my life again, I don’t know if time will change how I feel right now….. trust me it’s hard to trust them back in your especially when there is grandchildren involved. They use them as pawns. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

Bless your heart. It comes at you fast and hard. I have one adult child who went NC and one who calls us almost every day. You can’t predict what young adults will do. No matter what you did and the sacrifices you made for your kids growing up. This happens to good moms and dads too. Woke colleges don’t help either.

At a certain point, you realize that if someone doesn’t want you in their life or doesn’t value your presence, why would you want to keep fighting to be in it? That doesn’t mean you stop loving them. It just means you finally understand that loving someone doesn’t mean you have to keep choosing a place where you’re not being chosen.

I used to think the same thing. I have begged, pleaded and lost who I am in this mess. I have 2 other kids that love and appreciate me so I’m going to put all of that into them instead 🤷♀️

I did and he is still no contact. So I respect his wishes and love him from a distance. He doesn’t have to have anything to do with me but I can still love. Whether he wants me to or not. He is the best/biggest surprise I ever got and my biggest heartbreak.
