The incident took place on September 14, 2026, when a Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 operating on the Mashhad–Kermanshah route experienced a technical problem during takeoff. According to initial reports, the aircraft suffered a tyre failure/burst during takeoff, followed by reports of possible damage to the aircraft’s engine. The pilots declared an emergency and requested permission to return to Mashhad Airport. Inside the cabin, passengers were understandably terrified. Videos from inside the aircraft show people in a state of panic and fear, with passengers heard crying out and calling “Ya Ali, Ya Ali.” 😭 The situation was extremely frightening, but thankfully, it did not end in a crash. The aircraft successfully returned to Mashhad and landed safely.
