as parent who's child came out as queer. I have one very important thing to say. When you accept your child for who they are, and let the preconceived ideas go. The life on the other side is so beautiful. I am so proud to be the parent of a queer child. she has shown me a beautiful part of this world, a amazing group of people. 🏳️🌈

The only thing I would add is there needs to be a period of time where you as the parent stops making it about you. Your child will not want to constantly negotiate this with you after a season.

I’ve listened to the whole thing!! And I think this father has done a good job... Sure, it’s obviously heavy news, and a lot is going to change; it will take some time to settle into the new situation!! But he never started yelling, refusing, or making threats!!!
