@tatexpressinc: 💧🧼 Cooling System Flush in Progress! 🧼💧 A cooling system flush is currently in progress as part of proper preventive maintenance. Over time, coolant can become contaminated with rust, scale, sediment, and old additives that reduce the system’s ability to protect the engine and control temperature efficiently. 🚛🌡️ 💡 What does a coolant flush do? A coolant flush helps remove old coolant and unwanted buildup from the cooling system so fresh coolant can circulate through cleaner passages and provide better protection. ⚠️ What can build up inside the cooling system? • Rust and corrosion • Scale and mineral deposits • Sediment and debris • Old coolant residue • Contaminants from previous repairs • Deposits that can restrict coolant flow 👉 Why does this matter? A dirty or neglected cooling system can contribute to: • Engine overheating • Restricted coolant circulation • Radiator problems • Water pump wear • Heater core restrictions • Internal corrosion • Premature hose and seal deterioration 🔍 Coolant does more than prevent overheating. The additives inside heavy-duty coolant also help protect metal surfaces from corrosion, cavitation, and internal deterioration. Those protective additives weaken over time, even if the coolant still looks acceptable. 💡 Why flushing is different from simply draining coolant: Draining the system removes some old coolant, but a proper flush helps move additional contamination and residue out of the system before fresh coolant is added. 🔧 What should be checked during the service? • Radiator condition • Hoses and clamps • Water pump area • Reservoir and pressure cap • Coolant concentration • Signs of leaks • Correct coolant type for the engine ✅ At TAT Express, preventive maintenance is about protecting the engine before a cooling system problem turns into costly downtime. Keeping coolant clean and the system properly maintained helps support stable engine temperature and long-term reliability. 📍 TAT Express – Dallas, TX 4140 Langdon Rd Dallas, TX 75241 📞 972-225-3017 🌐 https://tatexpressinc.com/ ✅Semi-Truck, Trailer & RV Repair Specialists ✅Built on Integrity.
