@rangeless_: We came to this trail for the views and ended up watching ORCAS from the bluff. 🐋🌊 Follow rangeless_ for more hidden gems + road trips around the PNW. 📍 BLUFF TRAIL, Whidbey Island Bluff Trail is one of those hikes that keeps getting better as you go. You start by walking through a quiet coastal forest before the trees open up to huge views of the Pacific. 🌲🌊 And while we were standing at the bluff taking it all in, we spotted a pod of orcas swimming offshore. 🐋 But the trail doesn’t end there. Keep walking and you eventually make your way along the ocean, where we spent the rest of the walk looking for jasperalong the beach. 🪨 So you get a little bit of everything: 🌲 Coastal forest 🌊 Ocean views 🐋 Orca watching 🪨 Beachcombing for jasper Save this for your Washington coast road trip and send it to the person you’d want to spot orcas and hunt for jasper with. 🐋🪨
