In October 2024, a witness in the northeastern U.S. recorded a strange “plasma-like sphere” hovering beyond a pond for roughly 45 minutes. The light reportedly changed shape and brightness, sometimes splitting into smaller points. Another light appeared just above the water—and officials said it didn’t appear to be a reflection. The footage was recorded on an iPhone and later “analyzed and authenticated by the U.S. Government.” Officials say the released version was only cropped for privacy, with no other alterations. But authenticated footage doesn’t mean authenticated aliens. AARO says the case remains unresolved. And it gets stranger. FBI documents show the witness had reported unexplained lights around the property since 2021. Agents eventually visited the location—and two FBI special agents later reported seeing unexplained lights themselves. So what was hovering over that pond? A drone? Atmospheric phenomenon?
