On September 16th, 2026 at 10 p.m., my dad took his final breath after battling stage 4 brain cancer since February 22nd, 2025. I don’t think I will ever be able to fully put into words what I felt during his final hours. All I know is that those hours will stay with me for the rest of my life. The time we were given with him will never feel like enough. But knowing what this diagnosis meant and everything that came with it, the fact that my dad was able to keep fighting for as long as he did was something even his doctors struggled to explain. Since the beginning of this year, we were told more than once how extraordinary it was that he continued to hold on despite everything he was going through. They often told us that having his family by his side gave him the strength to keep going. And that strength was such a deep part of who my dad was. My dad was never someone who gave up easily. Even when life became unimaginably difficult, there was something within him that kept pushing him forward. He fought until his very last breath and to me, he will forever remain the strongest person I have ever known. But his strength is only one of the many beautiful things I want people to remember about him. Even throughout his illness, he never stopped living. He wanted to stay active, to keep moving, to laugh. Even though he was the one going through something so incredibly difficult, he still found a way to bring positivity into the lives of others. He was generous, outgoing, hardworking and deeply selfless. I’m sure that everyone who had the chance to know him carries a beautiful memory of him. He was truly one of a kind, someone who left a lasting impression wherever he went. He was the most present, loving and devoted father I could ever have asked for.. And no amount of time with him could ever have been enough.. I love you dad and I will carry you in my heart for the rest of my life 🤍 #cancer #braincancer #fatherloss
