I had two L5 – S1 Lumbar microdiscectomy both sides 2-3 yrs apart from each other but after my second surgery, I was feeling good and was able to move and walk and wasn’t feeling any pain or pins and needles from my sciatic nerve got in the vehicle was heading home went through a four-way intersection and a guy ran a standing red light and hit my friend and I two times broke the axle on the front driver side and then hit the backside where the bed of the truck was gave me a good jolt and messed up my surgeries never thought I had to have a fusion done so quickly, and I went back to square one with the Pain and the pens and needles, and my way of life has changed drastically because of somebody in a hurry to get nowhere so I had a ALIF lower back fusion under the age of 50 I have restrictions because of my back fusion and other health issues which prevents me from working a job outside of the home and I’m not qualified for any remote jobs because of my health I am fighting for my SsDI because I was awarded a medical retirement from my employer, but SsDI still will not take the information from them doctors and all my Specialist that I see so life is hard all around. I do what I can, which is so hard because I am a very strong, independent woman and now I have to ask for help with just every day chores but I always do tell people every day. Don’t take life for granite because of my Accident I have changed the way I do things, but at least the guy had hit us instead of the family that was across the road that he might have hit the had a mother and a three-year-old and a three month old in the vehicle with her so every time I feel depressed I think of how them little ones can now live a healthy, productive life, even though I’m still young they are babies and have a full life ahead of them
