@officialaltern8: 35 years ago we decided to give a little something back to the club and crowd that had shown us so much support with bookings and responses to the tunes, so we decided to put on a free live PA out in the car park of Shelley’s laserdome in Longton. We parked up the lorry in the afternoon and set the soundsystem up way before anyone tuned up for the night was going to start in the club. Just before the end of the night we left the club and got ready for the PA. Camera crews had already been filming footage for the Activ 8 video inside the venue and came out and filmed what went on in the car park. We never planned to record the event any other way, but by chance, a local radio reported (Dominic Green) was capturing it for a proposed news piece for BBC Radio Stoke. We were there to give something back and record video footage for a promo video, we had no idea it would go down in rave history or be attended my more people than could possibly fit in the club.
