@sophcoombs: To say I was terrified about Baloo’s home visit is an understatement. We knew his history and had worked SO hard to build his trust with us at the shelter. I was petrified his home visit wouldn’t go to plan, or we’d realise we weren’t the right fit for each other, and we’d have to send him back to kennels without a permanent “home time” date 🥺 Instead, he didn’t put a paw wrong (other than being super duper scared of the car) and fell asleep on my lap within 45 minutes - which is exactly where he is as I write this post. He spent almost another fortnight in kennels after this, with another home visit in between, so we could make sure our house was as sorted as possible. But that life is far, far behind him now ❤️ Almost Gotcha Day time!!! #rescuedogs #gotchaday #adoptadog #dogshelter
