Im still using an ugly yellow colander that I got given in my first year of uni freshers, that was in 2009 😂 tote bags, kitchen utensils, a uni-rider mug! Clearly they’re cost cutting these days. Freshers fair is still keeping me going 17 years later lol

I’m a mature student. My tutors encouraged me to go to freshers fairs saying it doesn’t matter I’m still a student. I walk in with my ID around my neck and get ignored even if I try talking to anyone. One fair no one spoke to me, one fair two people treated me like everyone else and gave me freebees. And last years freshers at my own uni I mostly got ignored or ask if I was a tutor trying to snag frees.

the trick to not scan the qr code is lead them on by pretending Ur interested in what they have ,interrupt them throughout the convo while they r tryna ask ABT the qr code and then at the end of the convo when they ask again either avoid eye contact and walk away or pretend U got distracted by something or just say sorry phone is dead
