I got laid off from a job in my career field in March. Thank God I also had a customer service background too so I was able to fall back on that. I landed my first ever CSR wfh job in June.

Similar situation! I was let go back in May. I had been with the company for five years and really started noticing the last two years of employment that internal job postings were only open to employees in The Philippines or India. So we couldn't transfer departments and were stuck!

After 25 yrs of working for the same company, they’re moving to a “strategic vendor”. They told us in May and my last day is Oct 2nd. Going through knowledge transfer rn 🥺 with our replacements from the Philippines. So disheartening but hope I land somewhere shortly after 🙏🏼

The layoffs are crazy. They have been laying off at my job for years and we are being replaced with people from India and the Philippines. It’s sad, because it’s not the same customer service or caring like we do. Thankfully I have been surviving the lay offs but I feel bad for those that have been let go. It’s brutal out there
