I’m sad about the rebrand because, as you all said, why change something that works? So many wonderful things made them stand out like their quality fibers and gorgeous colors, textures, florals, and again, COLORS! Everything feels muted now and looks so much like everything else out there. I wish they didn’t give in to private equity.

The sale rep at Sezanne were extremely condescending and snobby to the non white customers and that was a big turn off for me and my friends

The Austin Sezane is usually PACKED but last weekend when I went it was empty in the middle of the day. Which is crazy since its located in the busiest shopping area in Austin and the store usually has a line of people waiting to get in. The store was only supposed to be a pop up for a few months and its been so successful that its been around for a couple of years now. But man it was so boring, it didnt feel special or interesting.

Agreed! Create a new brand. Sezane I love it’s chic, timeless and just so effortless. I think the brand wants to go down a trendy way and I personally think this isn’t Sezane. But that’s just my opinion

French classical - nice jeans, white button down top, ballet flats or nice street style tennis shoes, leather bag, maybe funky/chunky seeing eye glasses. All staple items but nothing daring per se. French street style is great in that it works for the office and for happy hour/after work plans, breathable materials for when the metro is hot and humid. Never very dressed up, the hair is somewhat thrown together if styled at all (compared to American or British standard where it’s very styled and polished, for example) to show a level of effortlessness.

It’s not that I don’t like the things from the rebranding but I can feel a list of the core identity of the brand. And everything got more expensive.
