@thecliffjonespianostudio: What exactly does a classical pianist look like? The answer is simple… A human being that decides they want to play classical piano. lol. I have dealt with so much bullshit in my early years as a classical pianist. It was bad enough the music was challenging as hell. But to constantly hear that I don’t look like a classical pianist, or I’m black so I don’t constitute as one was killing me. It truly wasn’t until I said fuck all of that and truly leaned into who I am that I started enjoying my life as a classical pianist. So I say to you, fuck what anyone has to say, and lean into who you are a as a classical pianist.
