@phillipscollection: Adam Chamy is a mixed media artist who channels mystic archetypes (such as the truth-teller, the prophet, and the outlaw) to create work that moves between ancestral memory and speculative dreaming. Rooted in his struggles with both insomnia and his identity as a queer Palestinian Texan, his practice reflects what it means to live within liminal identities and spaces. In A Myth of Resistance Told in Blue, Chamy intertwines personal and collective grief with symbols of resilience. Acrylic, ink, and marker bleed into one another, challenging the permanence of partition and nationalism, and offering moments of rupture and light.
