@victoria.leavitt: At the end of August, I was able to travel home to Maine to spend time with family! During that time, I was lucky enough to visit Tadoussac, Quebec with my mom and grandmother where we went whale watching in one of the most idealistic places I’ve ever seen. Due to nutrient rich waters made possible by a process called upwelling, whales flock to this area of North America during the summer months. After their feeding is complete here, they head south to the Caribbean for the winter. On this whale watching expedition, we witnessed many humpbacks, a fin whale, a minke whale, belugas, gray seals and harbor seals.
