So a fairer comparison would be me doing pushups with that as added weight Additionally, while both exercises can be "cheated" by doing them faster and using momentum, it may be easier to lean back and get out of the harder ranges of a pushup (even if we do it subtly - sometimes it's hard to notice). Lastly, not ALL parts of a pullup may actually be harder than a pushup - pullups are easier at the bottom for example. However, the bottleneck for full range pullups is often the top part. We're usually weaker in this range. After you can no longer get your chin over the bar in a set, you can consider doing a few more going up as high as you can. This may help you push a bit harder during the set to train the muscles emphasized there and (potentially) make faster progress there. Just some thoughts. Have a wonderful day! #hybridcalisthenics
