Over the last 16 years, I've watched thousands of people completely change their lives. I've also watched many of them slowly drift back. Not because Islam wasn't enough. Not because changing wasn't worth it. But because once they left their old life behind... they stopped there. They never stepped into what came next. They gave up the haram, but never built a relationship with the Qur'an. They left the bad company, but never found righteous company. They stopped committing the sin, but never filled their heart with something greater. And that's where self-sabotage begins. Because the heart was never created to stay empty. It will always attach itself to something. I've never met someone who genuinely had iman in their heart, went back to their old life, and found peace. Never. Almost every single one thought they were returning to happiness. Instead, they returned to the very thing that once made them miserable. And that's exactly why Allah says:

And that's exactly why Allah says: "Whoever turns away from My remembrance will certainly have a depressed life." (Qur'an 20:124) It's not just a warning. It's a reality. If Allah saved you from something... don't just leave it behind. Replace it with something better. Build a relationship with the Qur'an. Build a relationship with your salah. Build a relationship with Allah. Because when your heart becomes full of Him... you'll never miss what He rescued you from.
