Objectively bad stories do exist btw, but the subjective part is that you can enjoy certain writing and dislike some which is what you tried to say(?)Writing is essentially just how well thought out the story, characters, and themes are. If a story doesn’t have an outline and all the characters are static the story isn’t written well.
