Remember, when amorim was sacked he was only 3 points off champions league spot. He brought in Cunha, Mbuemo, Lammens, Sesko and Heaven. Three of which are starters and two that probably should start. he rid united of deadwood

say whatever you want about him, but he will always be for me the best manager who walked in this club since ser Alex's departure, you look only on the results but he was the only one who really tried to change the culture of the dressing room and did the best for the club it only needed patience and support from the board and he would've worked surely, amorim was the ONE

His only mistake was not seeing Mainoo as the right player for controlling games.. Which made him believe Bruno's ability with the ball would translate just as well in a deeper role... This one mistake was his achilles heel.. Had he just had one person who he trusts convince him of this error he would still be the boss

The thing is this guy was actually going to be a good manager but at that moment we needed to win games and not just trust in the future, he was too stubborn in changing his pattern and play style plus how would you tell me you cant find a spot for someone like Kobbie in your team.

If only the players had genuine footballing intelligence to be able to adapt mid game to opposition tactics. Amorim was better for the club than most fans realised. He needed backing and sticking with for the long haul, it is not a quick fix to sort out the issues deeply embedded within the club.
