Back to analogue habits and hobbies - paper and pen to journal, books from the library, arts and crafts. Been researching local hobby groups - run clubs, local litter picking sessions, challenging myself to learn new routes around my area. It's been a godsend and I'd recommend to everyone.

The ai war in terminator movies is actually far nicer than real ai. At least in terminator, skynet doesn't want to prolong suffering, it just wants to kill us because it's trying to protect itself. Real ai is worse because unlike skynet it doesn't really have a set goal or motive. It just does whatever people tell it to and I'd actually say that's worse than ai having it's own thoughts because the stuff humans are doing with ai is EVIL. Sure it can go from wholesome memes but then to mfs literally can create ai 'cheese pizza' content of children they find wholesome harmless photos of on the internet. Crime will become hell to try find actual evidence because ai could in the future generate stuff so well it could frame innocent people for crimes they never did because generative ai at a point will become so good it will become undetectable. And in the future this will only advance and advance because our race as humans are too stupid to collectively agree to halt ourselves on generative ai to prevent these issues. No mfs just gotta do something coz they can never thinking of the consequences.

one time I went a week without a phone/computer and had to go to the other side of London for a friend's birthday somewhere I haven't been and people where really surprised I got there both on time and and no internet when asked how hard was it I was just said it's hard to sit on the tube for almost an hour no headphones

the problem is companies scan documents for buzzwords and ai uses the buzzwords you require for it to get through whatever screening software theyre using. if people dont use ai for some things. it would be rejected by their system due to not having the right words. you can always learn to follow rowd signs as well. There's nothing stopping you. people have always had maps. theyre just digital now.

perspective is key in times like these, its far easier to view the world in a negative light, but why feel negative when you can focus on the positives. at least thats something you can control. a community, is lots of people individually choosing to do the positive thing. ill give away my veg, for an egg.
