Need advice for a husband that is a clutterbug. He doesn't even realize but he leaves a trail everywhere he goes and I'm constantly picking up after him. If I mention it to him he thinks I'm nagging. It's so frustrating because I like everything clean and organized.

The husband should not “help”, that word denoted a favour, when there are two adults in the home it is up to both of them to do what has to be done to keep the place running. That includes laundry, cooking, cleaning , shopping, yard work, etc. it is up to the couple to work it out as to who does what - but it is not fair in any way, shape or form to leave the mental load to the female and for her to chase the other adult around to get done what has to be done. A woman does not require another child to care for- and young women are no longer putting up with it. Why would a woman marry and then take on every chore that has to be done while allowing the man to all of a sudden have a cook, cleaner, child carer, sexual satisfier, gardener, laundress, scheduler, etc. This notion is putting the institution of marriage at risk. There is nothing in such an arrangement to benefit a woman.

I’m a single mom working a 9-5 & a cleaning schedule changed the game for me! I also started habit stacking some of my beauty maintenance in there! I always have a hair mask in while I clean the bathroom & I put on a sheet mask on the laundry folding days!

This is exactly what I’ve been thinking and feeling! I’m currently on maternity leave in the UK following the birth of my second child and keeping on top of my home is completely manageable right now. But I worry about how to keep a clean home once I return to work. I’ve always kept a tidy home but when to clean in the week? I really don’t want to spend the whole weekend cleaning like I did before! And where do I fit in my exercise? And time for self care? 🤯 You are so right that our MH is supported by a clean home!

can you touch on how to balance having your kids help, teaching them responsibility, but also balancing making sure they're getting their rest and childhood too?! mine are in elementary and I struggle with making sure they get their rest/down time to stay regulated, but also.....I need their help to keep up 😅
