@ompatelmd: 😳 CAN YOU HAVE JOINT REPLACEMENT WITHOUT OPIOIDS? Yes. One of the biggest concerns I hear from patients is, “Doc, I don’t want to take oxycodone or other strong narcotics after surgery.” The good news? Modern pain management gives us more options. Nerve blocks, medications before surgery, and newer non opioid pain strategies can help control pain without relying on strong opioids. 💬 Would avoiding opioids make you feel more comfortable about joint replacement? Tell me in the comments. 📍 6700 Dallas Pkwy Suite 100, Frisco, TX 75034 📍 Frisco, TX 📞 469-850-0680 🔗 www.ompatelmd.com #OpioidFreeRecovery #NonOpioidPainRelief #PainManagement #JointReplacement #KneeReplacement #HipReplacement #JointReplacementRecovery #PostSurgeryRecovery #SurgeryRecovery #PainRelief #OrthopedicCare #OrthopedicSurgeon #FriscoKnee #FriscoHip #FriscoOrthopedicSurgeon #FriscoKneeAndHip #DrOmPatel #OmPatelMD #StarOrthopedics #DrBonesPatel #PatientFirstCare #MobilityMatters #MoveBetter #BackToWhatYouLove #FriscoTX #NorthTexasHealthcare
Have had two hip replacements. Please run very far from this way of thinking. Make sure to ask your surgeon what their post op pain management plan is! If YOU want to white knuckle it, that is fine.
