@mandoarevalo1: My daughter doesn’t owe your son a smile when she’s telling him to leave her alone. She already said no. He kept pushing. So we practiced how to stand firm and say exactly what she meant. Next time he tried it, she spoke up. And according to her, he hasn’t bothered her since. Her first “stop” should’ve been enough. Parents, give your kids the damn words. Practice those uncomfortable conversations at home. “Don’t touch me.” “Stay out of my stuff.” “I said no.” “I need help.” Teach your daughters to hold their boundaries. Teach your sons to respect them. And teach BOTH that getting backup doesn’t make them weak. We won’t always be in the room. What we teach them goes with them. I coach parents on boundaries, discipline, and leading their home with faith and firm standards. If you need help putting these lessons into practice, join The Iron Standard on Skool through the link in my bio. Let’s get to work. #Parenting #RaisingDaughters #Fatherhood #ParentingTeens #Boundaries
You don’t have to make him feel comfortable while he’s making you feel uncomfortable 💯👏

100% agree with you I have a son and 2 daughters and all 3 of them I tell them to always respect the opposite gender no matter what. Especially with my son if you go up to a girl and get as close as you can or just start flirting with her and she says stop or no that one word means something and stop doing what your doing apologize and go on about your day. the way I got through to him is how would you like it if a guy came up to one of your sisters and did that exact thing you did to that little girl he automatically says no I wouldn't like it so what gives you the right to do it to someone else's daughter, sister, cousin. That's why I also tell them you hug grandma and grandpa that's it but if you don't want to hug anyone else you say no how about a high five how bout a wave a handshake a verbal hi because that word no is a powerful word and I need them to understand that if someone says no or someone says stop it's an immediate step back, reevaluate, apologize, and go on about your day.

🙏🏽AMEN.. the Emmys were this past weekend, but we need to have an award ceremony for the REAL CONVERSATIONS! Hand this man a MIC 🎤
I grit my teeth through anger when I hear this...I have 3 daughters and express to them to stand their ground and be firm, get the adults involved, and be respectful. When I show up, gloves are off🥊 Professional and Firm is how I come with it, cuz my child spoke up and handed you a responsibility you will not fail.

I have 5 boys and 2 girls, and I can proudly say that girls are completely safe around my boys. I’ve always told them no is no. No matter what it is, NO IS NO!

I tell my girls to get loud and make a scene. I’ve done this when grown men stare and break their necks at under age girls, especially my own and my nieces. Calling them out shuts them down fast! When everyone is watching, they cease and retreat!

@mandoarevalo1 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 that’s what most fathers miss when raising their sons. I LOVE the values you’re teaching your children. Honestly I think you should do a Q&A live
