@japdmedia26: A Haitian pastor faces deportation after an ICE arrest in Pennsylvania. Molis Augustave was stopped by police for a burned-out headlight before being handed to ICE under a 287(g) agreement. DHS says he entered without authorization in 2016 and received a removal order in 2018. Augustave lost TPS protections following recent federal rulings. His wife, Omara Nunez, fears deportation while his green card application is pending. "I felt that God put us together," Omara Nunez, a student, said of her husband, Pastor Molis Augustave, a York, Pennsylvania, pastor who was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement this month. "Every day I wonder what the future holds. What if he is deported?" "When Molis was detained, I was heartbroken," she said. "Our 9-year-old Sofia understands what is happening, but has a deep hope he is coming home," Nunez said. "Our 2-year-old Isaac is very confused and deeply misses his dad." Faith leaders held a rally calling for his release. "He is a husband, a father, a pastor, a chaplain, a friend, and, above all, a servant of God in our community," Pastor Jose Lopez, who pastors together with Molis at the Iglesia de Dios Voz de Alerta, said in a press release. Augustave is now in Louisiana, where his wife says he leads Bible studies for fellow detainees. Should local police assist ICE during routine traffic stops? #Pennsylvania #Haiti #MolisAugustave #OmaraNunez #japd
