There’s a guy with his own corner office who leaves his door open all damn day and every call and meeting he takes is on the loudest volume. Work calls, personal calls, in-person, Zoom- we get to hear them all. He’s been asked multiple times to stop. I finally got moved to my own office and it was a relief to be able to shut my door and get some peace.

i used to work at a place where they'd play cornhole/mini basketball RIGHT next to my desk while ON THE PHONE and with EDM music blaring at 8AM.

Our director, one of the only 3 people on our floor with an actual office with a door, will have such loud phone convos on speaker with his door WIDE OPEN. Yeaterday I literally had ear plugs in and could still hear every word. Mind you, it wasn’t even about work. It was about duck hunting 🙄

A new coworkers phone makes an audible sound for every teams message they get... I asked him if he could at least silence it when he's lit looking at his monitor with teams open and he said "I don't know how". Just send the asteroid at this point I'm done.

I once confused my office (e-commerce software), when some lady, called my office number for something related to her order that she wanted to clarify and someone had given her my number to call. I was doing software quality. Had nothing to do with the retail operations, apart from being the guy who tested search and navigation related stuff. Buuuut. I’d grown up with a really really stupid mom, who always called me for everything as her customer care for life, universe and everything. So when I ended the call, the office around me was eerily quiet and somewhat staring at me in bewilderment until someone piped up “That somehow sounded like a confused customer somehow called your phone and you went professional callcenter to help her.”. Exactly. 🤣💖

There used to be a company next door to my office, and one of their guys would take calls out in the hallway and stand in front of the glass doors across from my desk and just stare through them while he was on the phone 😳 My boss installed privacy film after like the 5th time this happened because it was creeping me out
