@allthingsmely: There’s tears in my eyes as I type this caption 🥹 Mely from 2021, when she had just been diagnosed with breast cancer, never could have imagined that so much pain would later on turn into purpose… I had the incredible honor of walking the runway with @wearecancerculture for NYFW, surrounded by amazing women (and men) whose lives have been forever changed by cancer. This journey can feel extremely lonely, scary & devastating regardless of the stage, but metastatic breast cancer needs MORE. More awareness, more research and way more funding. As a survivor, I don’t take for granted for one second that I get to be here, living this life, because so many don’t get that chance. So today, I’m using my platform to advocate for those still fighting and to honor those we’ve lost along the way.
